It would seem like using one of the other two flexible pipe methods would make the job easier. The gas dryer has black pipe coming down the wall and then use the corrigated flexible gas line to the dryer.

The only difference here would be the drip tee being on the water heater instead on the wall. It would not matter that the water heater is turned using this method.

There is a hard metal line coming out the base of the water pump that connects to the base of the sideways T base of the T heads toward the passenger side like this l- From the thermostat there is another line that goes thru the intake manifold and out, connecting to the passenger side of the I-.

The superior outlet of the I- then goes to the driver side of the heater core. What is not clear to me is the direction of flow.
